HAVILAND LIMOGES SERVING TRAY OR PLATTER CIRCA 1895-1900
A BEAUTIFUL LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY HAVILAND, LIMOGES, SERVING TRAY.
White porcelain, fine Limoges China from France. Design is a subtle light pink flowers pattern around slight scalloped rim and a floral splash center.
Size: 14” x 9 ¾” x 2” high, 2” wide embossed edge
Beautiful Haviland, Limoges, serving tray or platter. Floral garlands around the rim with a vignette of a floral bouquet. Scalloped edges with raised designs at the ends. Marked "Theodore Haviland / Limoges / FRANCE," in red. This mark was in use from about 1893 to 1900.
Theodore was the son of David Haviland. He dissolved his partnership with his brother and set up his own company. His pieces at first had only an impressed "TH" mark, but later included this mark.
Excellent! No cracks or crazing.
